Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully before enrolling in any Sunrise Lotus program.

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, the term “Program” refers to any class, course, workshop, holiday activity, event, or online session offered by Sunrise Lotus.

By enrolling in a Sunrise Lotus Program, you agree to the Terms & Conditions outlined below.

Sunrise Lotus may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Any changes will take effect immediately once published on this website.

Cancellations, Changes and Refunds

Sunrise Lotus reserves the right to modify schedules, venues, or program details where necessary.

If a class or event is cancelled by Sunrise Lotus for any reason, including insufficient enrolments, participants will be offered one of the following options:

  • Transfer to an alternative session;
  • A credit towards a future Sunrise Lotus program; or
  • A refund.

Participants will be notified as soon as possible should any cancellation occur.

Term Courses, Classes and School Holiday Workshops

Refund Policy

Program fees are non-refundable. unless the refund is requested 14 days before the course, class or workshop. Online booking fees are non-refundable.

Where a participant is unable to attend, Sunrise Lotus may, at its discretion, offer:

  • A credit towards a future program; or
  • The option to transfer the booking to another participant.

Credits must be used within 12 months from the original payment date.

In cases of extended illness or exceptional circumstances, requests for refunds or credits will be considered individually.

If a participant withdraws after a course has commenced, no refund will be provided and any outstanding fees remain payable.

Minimum Enrolments

Our programs require a minimum number of participants to proceed.

If minimum enrolment numbers are not reached, Sunrise Lotus will contact participants, where possible, 24–48 hours before the scheduled start time to discuss alternative arrangements.

Missed Classes and Credits

Refunds are not available for missed classes.

Where notice is provided before the scheduled class, participants may be eligible for:

  • A make-up class (subject to availability); or
  • A credit towards a future session.

Students enrolled in a term program may receive credit for up to two missed classes per term. Credits will not be issued for additional absences beyond this allowance.

Trial Classes

Each child is eligible for one trial class only.

If your child cannot attend their scheduled trial, please contact Sunrise Lotus prior to the session so that alternative arrangements may be discussed.

During enrolment, families may choose whether they wish to receive newsletters, updates, and promotional communications from Sunrise Lotus.

Parent and Guardian Responsibilities

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for ensuring children are dropped off and collected promptly.

Children should arrive no earlier than five minutes before the scheduled start time and be collected within five minutes of the session ending.

Sunrise Lotus cannot accept responsibility for the supervision or safety of children outside their scheduled class times.

Health, Medical and Safety Information

Parents or legal guardians must advise Sunrise Lotus of any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities, behavioural considerations, or other circumstances that may affect a child’s participation.

In the event of an accident, illness, or emergency, parents or legal guardians authorise Sunrise Lotus to administer basic first aid and, where necessary, seek emergency medical assistance.

Any costs associated with medical treatment remain the responsibility of the parent or legal guardian.

Photography, Video and Marketing

From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken during classes, workshops, events, or of children’s artwork.

These images may be used by Sunrise Lotus for promotional purposes, including:

  • Social media;
  • Website content;
  • Printed materials;
  • Advertising and marketing campaigns.

Images and videos will not be sold to third parties and will only be used for Sunrise Lotus purposes unless additional consent is obtained.

Consent preferences can be indicated during the enrolment process. If you do not wish your child or their artwork to appear in promotional materials, please ensure this is noted on your registration form.

Privacy and Personal Information

Sunrise Lotus respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information.

Personal information provided during enrolment will not be shared with third parties without consent unless required by law.

Sunrise Lotus does not store credit card details.

From time to time, Sunrise Lotus may send newsletters, updates, special offers, and information about upcoming programs. You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in emails or by contacting us directly.

Parents and guardians are responsible for notifying Sunrise Lotus of any changes to their contact details or other relevant information.

Personal information collected by Sunrise Lotus will be managed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Fees and Payments

Current program fees are displayed on the Sunrise Lotus website.

Payment must be made in full, or through an approved instalment arrangement (usually 2-3 instalments), before participation in a program.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Online payment via our website;
  • Direct bank transfer; and
  • Cash payments 

Fees include GST where required by law. Payment receipts will be provided upon request.

Families requiring alternative payment arrangements are encouraged to contact Sunrise Lotus before the commencement of the program.

Discounts

Sunrise Lotus may offer discounts and promotional pricing throughout the year.

Early Bird Discounts

Where offered, Early Bird pricing applies only when enrolment and payment are completed by the advertised deadline.

Sibling Discounts

A 10% discount is available for a second child enrolled in a term program.

Sibling discounts:

  • Apply to term programs only;
  • Do not apply to holiday workshops;
  • Cannot be combined with Early Bird discounts.

Concession Discounts

A 10% concession discount is be available for eligible concession card holders.

Proof of eligibility will be requested at the time of enrolment.

Discount Conditions

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Discounts cannot be combined with other offers or promotions.
  • Discounts must be applied at the time of enrolment and payment.
  • Retrospective discounts will not be applied.
  • Discounts do not apply when redeeming complimentary or prize gift certificates.
  • The maximum discount available on any single program is 10%.
  • Creative and Active Kids vouchers are government-funded subsidies and are not considered a discount.

Promotions and Special Offers

Special promotions and offers cannot be used in conjunction with other discounts unless expressly stated.

Participation, Risk and Liability

Sunrise Lotus is committed to providing a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for all participants. However, participation in movement, dance, mindfulness, creative activities, outdoor activities and related programs carries some inherent risk of accidental injury.

By enrolling a child in a Sunrise Lotus program, parents and legal guardians acknowledge and accept these inherent risks.

Parents and legal guardians are responsible for ensuring that any information provided regarding their child’s health, medical conditions, allergies, behavioural needs or additional support requirements is accurate and up to date.

For online programs, parents and legal guardians are responsible for ensuring their child participates in a safe and suitable environment, free from hazards, with appropriate supervision where required.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sunrise Lotus, its facilitators, assistants and contractors will not be liable for any loss, injury, damage or expense arising from participation in a program, except where such liability cannot be excluded under applicable Australian law.

Code of Conduct

Sunrise Lotus aims to create a positive, respectful and inclusive environment for all participants.

Children are expected to behave respectfully towards facilitators, other participants, equipment and venue facilities. Where behaviour is unsafe, disruptive, or negatively impacts the experience of others, Sunrise Lotus reserves the right to contact parents or guardians and, where necessary, remove a participant from a class, workshop or program.

No refund will be provided where participation is cancelled due to serious or ongoing behavioural concerns.

Child Safety and Wellbeing

At Sunrise Lotus, creating a safe, nurturing and supportive environment for children is at the heart of everything we do.

All facilitators, assistants and volunteers who work directly with children hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and are committed to maintaining appropriate professional standards and child-safe practices.

Where applicable, facilitators hold current First Aid qualifications and appropriate training to respond to medical incidents and emergencies.

We strive to ensure that every child feels respected, included, supported and emotionally safe while participating in our programs.

Amendments to Terms & Conditions

Sunrise Lotus reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time.

The most current version will always be available on the Sunrise Lotus website and will apply from the date it is published.
