Primary Schools & OSHC Centres

We deliver Chakradance Kids social & emotional learning (SEL) programs in Primary Schools for 5-12 year olds as a 9-week wellbeing program, once off themed workshops or mini-retreats.

We also offer the programs to OSHC centres and Vacation Care centres.

Helping children build confidence, resilience, emotional intelligence, and positive relationships.

C hakradance Kids covers aspects of the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) curriculum, weaving together movement, music, storytelling, and art to support emotional growth and healthy social development. The program gives children practical ways to recognise and express their feelings, relate well to others, and build inner strength that carries into the classroom and beyond.
Aligned with the goals of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), our sessions help students develop a clear sense of self, greater self-management and the interpersonal skills needed for both learning and life.

By strengthening their ability to understand themselves, handle challenges, and form respectful relationships, children build the foundations for confidence, resilience, and long-term wellbeing.

9 Week Program

Our 9-week program comprises 9 x one-hour lessons, one per week over 9 weeks. The program can also be run every fortnight over two terms. For Vacation Care centres, the 9-week program can run during the Christmas holidays and be completed within 5 weeks with 8 of the sessions undertaken twice a week.

Grade K-1
We have a program specifically designed in a playful way for this age group. The Kindy program, called ‘The Magic Story Tree’, guides children on a magical journey of self-discovery with the lead character, Nixie the Rainbow Dragon, with each lesson using a carefully-structured mix of stories, music, movement and creative art.
Grade K-6
This program is designed for all Primary Ages and is best conducted within similar age groups to be developmentally appropriate. The stories are longer and more detailed than the Kindy program, and the themes are more developed. Children are taken on an adventurous journey with lead character, Naga the Dragon. We have two 9-week series for this age group: Naga’s Curse and The Secret Dragon with each lesson using a carefully-structured mix of stories, music, movement and creative art.

What’s Included in Our Programs

We understand the increasing pressure on early-childhood educators, and the last thing you need is more administration added to your day. To make things easy, we run the entire process for you from start to finish—no extra paperwork on your end. In that way you can continue providing the best education and care for our littles ones without extra admin.

For Parents:

  • consent/permission forms – which we organise and respond to if necessary
  • clear information/enrolment packs for parents
  • funding request and payment forms (if parents are needing to partially/fully fund the program)
  • A weekly newsletter is sent home for parents outlining what we explored in class and to support learning at home
  • End-of-program feedback forms for parents and teachers

For Children:

Each week, children take home their own unique piece of artwork that reflects the magic of their experience in class. They also receive a themed colouring activity paired with an affirmation to reinforce that week’s learning.

Program Inclusions:

We bring everything needed to run the session smoothly—yoga mats, cushions, a music speaker, a decorative centrepiece and all art supplies (clipboards, paper, drawing materials). All we ask for is a dedicated space to set up and create.
